Dutch18th Century

Aert de Gelder

Aert de Gelder (1645-1727) was a Dutch painter and the only artist to maintain Rembrandt's late style into the 18th century. Trained in Rembrandt's studio, his biblical scenes employed broad brushwork and dramatic light characteristic of his master's tradition. Master Canvas Art offers 3 hand-painted oil reproductions of de Gelder's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
