François-Emile Barraud

François Barraud (1899–1934) was a Swiss Realist painter trained at the École du Louvre and one of four artist brothers from Le Locle. Steeped in Flemish and French Old Master technique, he produced precise still lifes, female nudes, and tender portraits of his wife Marie that mark a major chapter in Swiss New Objectivity. He died of tuberculosis at thirty-four. Master Canvas Art offers 5 hand-painted oil reproductions of François-Emile Barraud's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
