Artist

George Henry R.A. R.S.A. R.S.W.

George Henry (1858–1943) was a Scottish painter and a leading figure of the Glasgow Boys. He travelled to Japan in 1893–94 with E. A. Hornel — a journey that profoundly shaped his later decorative style — and produced bold, richly-coloured landscapes, portraits, and genre scenes. He was elected RSA in 1902, RSW, and ARA in 1907 (RA 1920), exhibiting widely in Britain, Continental Europe, and America. Master Canvas Art offers 7 hand-painted oil reproductions of George Henry's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
