Pieter Claesz

Pieter Claesz (c. 1597–1660) was a Dutch Golden Age still-life painter who, with Willem Heda, pioneered the restrained "monochrome banketje" or breakfast-piece tradition in Haarlem. His subdued palette and masterful rendering of pewter, glass, and herring made him one of the most influential Dutch still-life painters of his century. Master Canvas Art offers 34 hand-painted oil reproductions of Pieter Claesz's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
