William Herbert Allen

William Herbert Allen (1863–1943) was an English landscape watercolour artist known as W.H. whose fifty-year career spanned the 1880s to the 1940s. Director of Farnham School of Art in Surrey, he produced thousands of watercolours, sketches, and drawings documenting the landscapes, traditions, and people of West Surrey and North-east Hampshire, along with continental scenes. Elected to the Royal Watercolour Society and Royal Society of British Artists, his work was exhibited at the Royal Academy.
