Emile Munier

Émile Munier (1840–1895) was a French academic painter and a favorite pupil of William-Adolphe Bouguereau, known for tender, idealized portrayals of children, mothers, and household pets. His meticulous Salon-style finish and warm sentimentality made him a bestseller in 19th-century France and a perennial favorite of contemporary collectors of academic art.
