Sir John Lavery, R.A.

Sir John Lavery (1856–1941) was an Irish portrait and genre painter who became one of the most fashionable society portraitists of Edwardian and interwar Britain. A founding member of the Glasgow School and an official war artist in WWI, his fluid brushwork and sense of glamour made him the chronicler of figures from royalty to Michael Collins. Master Canvas Art offers 21 hand-painted oil reproductions of Sir John Lavery R.A.'s work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
