William Merritt Chase

William Merritt Chase (1849–1916) was an American Impressionist painter and noted teacher. His work ranged from portraiture to still life and landscape, with a particular affinity for dramatic compositions—dead fish against dark grounds and figures in park settings. He founded the Chase School of Art. Master Canvas Art offers 90 hand-painted oil reproductions of William Merritt Chase's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
