George Stubbs

George Stubbs (1724–1806) was an English painter best known for equestrian portraiture executed with scientific precision. Self-trained through anatomical dissection and observation, he published The Anatomy of the Horse, setting new standards for depicting animal structure and movement. Stubbs elevated horse portraiture to high art, capturing breeding stock with dignity and psychological presence. Master Canvas Art offers 67 hand-painted oil reproductions of George Stubbs' work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
