William Beechey

Sir William Beechey (1753–1839) was an English portrait painter who served as Portrait Painter to Queen Charlotte and was knighted by King George III. A pillar of the Royal Academy, he produced thousands of likenesses of British royalty, aristocracy, and military officers, his elegant brushwork bridging the styles of Reynolds and Lawrence.
