Adolf Echtler (1843–1914) was a German Realism painter known for detailed peasant scenes, facial expressions, Brittany rural life. Studied academies in Venice, Vienna, Munich; resident Paris 1877–1886; Salon exhibits 1879–1885; Royal Professor title; large gold medal 1896.
