Artist

Alfred James Munnings P.R.A. R.W.S.

Sir Alfred James Munnings (1878–1959) was one of England's foremost equestrian painters and served as President of the Royal Academy from 1944 to 1949. Known for vigorous depictions of horses, hunts, and rural English life, he became as famous for his outspoken opposition to modern art as for his accomplished traditional technique. Master Canvas Art offers 8 hand-painted oil reproductions of Sir Alfred James Munnings's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
