Anton Raphael Mengs

Anton Raphael Mengs (1728–1779) was a German-born painter and a founding figure of European Neoclassicism, working principally in Rome and Madrid, where he served as court painter to King Charles III of Spain. His Parnassus ceiling fresco at the Villa Albani (1761) — championed by his friend Johann Joachim Winckelmann — is regarded as a manifesto of the new classicizing style that would dominate late-18th-century European art. Master Canvas Art offers 3 hand-painted oil reproductions of Anton Raphael Mengs's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
