Antonio Jacobsen

Antonio Jacobsen (1850–1921) was a Danish-born American maritime artist known as the Audubon of Steam Vessels. After arriving in New York in 1873, Jacobsen produced more than 6,000 ship portraits with meticulous accuracy, commanding respect from captains and ship owners.
