Archibald Thorburn

Archibald Thorburn (1860–1935) was a Scottish wildlife painter who specialized in watercolor depictions of birds and natural history. A prominent illustrator of ornithological and sporting books, including Lord Lilford's Birds of the British Isles, his work combined scientific accuracy with graceful composition. His widely reproduced images of British wildlife became standard references for naturalists and collectors. Patrons included Edward VII and George V.
