Arthur Heyer

Arthur Heyer (1872–1931) was a German-Hungarian painter so devoted to depicting cats — particularly Turkish Angoras — that he earned the nickname "Cat" Heyer. Trained in Berlin and naturalized as a Hungarian citizen in 1900, he received the Hungarian Count Andrássy Prize in 1911 and his lovingly observed feline scenes were exhibited from Munich's Glaspalast to the Vienna Künstlerhaus.
