Auguste Toulmouche

Auguste Toulmouche (1829–1890) was a French academic painter known for refined genre scenes of upper-middle-class Parisian life. A student of Charles Gleyre, he gained imperial patronage and exhibited widely at the Paris Salons, winning medals in 1870. His work captured domestic interiors and elegant social interactions with meticulous detail. Master Canvas Art offers 6 hand-painted oil reproductions of Auguste Toulmouche's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
