Benjamin West

Benjamin West (1738–1820) was an American-born Neoclassical painter who became a leading figure in European history painting. His monumental compositions—including The Death of General Wolfe and The Death of Nelson—pioneered 'epic representation' combining expressive colour and dramatic composition. He served as court painter to British royalty. Master Canvas Art offers 22 hand-painted oil reproductions of Benjamin West's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
