Carl Heinrich Bloch

Carl Heinrich Bloch (1834–1890) was a Danish painter best known for his cycle of 23 paintings depicting the life of Christ, commissioned for the chapel at Frederiksborg Palace and reproduced worldwide as devotional images. Trained at the Royal Danish Academy, his realistic and emotionally resonant religious works exemplified Academic craftsmanship. He painted eight altarpieces for churches and counted among his subjects intimate scenes from the Virgin's life. Master Canvas Art offers 7 hand-painted oil reproductions of Carl Heinrich Bloch's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
