Charles Willson Peale

Charles Willson Peale (1741–1827) was an American painter, military officer, scientist, and naturalist renowned for his mastery of portraiture. Born in Chester, Maryland, to humble circumstances, he pursued multiple trades before studying with Benjamin West in London (1767–1770). His Neoclassical portraits of leading American Revolutionary figures number roughly 1,100 works and remain among the most iconic of the late 18th century. Master Canvas Art offers 2 hand-painted oil reproductions of Charles Willson Peale's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
