Christoffel van den Berghe

Christoffel van den Berghe (c. 1590–c. 1645), a Flemish-born Dutch Golden Age painter, specialized in landscapes and flower still lifes while active in Middelburg from 1617 onwards. Rediscovered as an independent artist only in the 1950s, van den Berghe demonstrated the influence of Ambrosius Bosschaert and Roelant Savery in his four known flower still lifes; his paintings of winter landscapes—formerly attributed to Hendrick Avercamp—and the pioneering Dutch genre 'game piece,' Still Life with Dead Birds, reveal uncommon originality.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
