Daniel Huntington

Daniel Huntington (1816–1906) was an American academic painter of portraits, religious subjects, and historical scenes. He served as President of the National Academy of Design for over two decades (1862–1870 and 1877–1891) and painted many leading figures of 19th-century American public life, including bankers, jurists, and presidents.
