Ernest Board

Ernest Board (1877–1934) was an English painter notable for seascapes and historical subjects who also worked as a draughtsman for stained glass. Born in Worcester, he educated at the Merchant Venturers' Technical College and Royal Academy Schools in Bristol, where he spent his career. Board's finest paintings addressed Bristol's history—particularly The Departure of Sebastian Cabot, now in Bristol Art Gallery—and included mural commissions in Parliament and the Council Chamber. Around 1912, Henry S. Wellcome commissioned him to document scientific achievements.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
