Francois-Louis Lanfant de Metz

Francois-Louis Lanfant de Metz (1814-1892) was a French painter celebrated for his playful depictions of childhood scenes and anecdotes. Born at Sierck-les-Bains and trained under Ary Scheiffer, Lanfant abandoned history painting and settled in Le Havre in 1868, where he devoted himself to small-format works of children playing, school outings, and comic situations. His charming compositions were widely popularized through color lithography. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Francois-Louis Lanfant de Metz's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
