George Sheridan Knowles

George Sheridan Knowles (1863-1931) was a British painter trained at Manchester School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools in London. Best known for academic yet nostalgic genre scenes and portraits, his works combined classical composition with lively color and impressionistic brushwork. Active throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Knowles achieved recognition for his ability to blend academic traditions with contemporary light and color sensibilities. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of George Sheridan Knowles's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
