Géza Vastagh (1866–1919) was a Hungarian 19th-century animal painting painter known for animals—lions, tigers, cows, wild and domestic fauna. Hungarian animal painter; gold medal for cow paintings; scholarship 1898 to travel Algeria/Tunisia to study lions; exhibited at Paris Salon; honorable mention Exposition Universelle 1900; works at Hungarian National Gallery.
