Hans Holbein the Younger

Hans Holbein the Younger (1497/8–1543) was a German painter and printmaker of Swiss descent and one of the greatest portraitists of the 16th century. Born in Augsburg, he established his reputation in Basel through murals, religious works, book illustrations, and celebrated portraits of the humanist Erasmus. Travelling to England in 1526 with a recommendation from Erasmus, he joined Thomas More's humanist circle and rose to become King's Painter to Henry VIII by 1535. Master Canvas Art offers 2 hand-painted oil reproductions of Hans Holbein the Younger's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
