Hans Makart

Hans Makart (1840–1884) was an Austrian academic history painter and designer known as the 'magician of colours.' His bold visual style, termed 'Makartstil,' dominated Vienna's artistic scene and influenced Gustav Klimt and the Vienna Secession. A prolific muralist and decorator, he designed the 1879 Makart Parade for Emperor Franz Joseph I. Master Canvas Art offers 4 hand-painted oil reproductions of Hans Makart's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
