Helmer Osslund

Jonas Helmer Osslund (1866–1938) was a Swedish painter who specialized in atmospheric depictions of Lappland's Arctic landscapes with expressionist vigour. Born in Tuna Parish, Medelpad, he studied at the Académie Colarossi in Paris, absorbing influences from Paul Gauguin and contemporaries Jens Ferdinand Willumsen and Leander Engström. Associated with Symbolism, Osslund developed an expressive landscape approach, often working on greaseproof paper. His painting Autumn (1906) was acquired by Sweden's Nationalmuseum.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
