Herbert James Draper

Herbert James Draper (1863–1920) was a British Neoclassicist painter focused on mythological themes from ancient Greece. His painting The Lament for Icarus won the gold medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900 and was acquired by Tate Gallery. He also achieved renown as a society portraitist.
