Ilya Mashkov

Ilya Ivanovich Mashkov (1881-1944) was a Russian painter and one of the most significant figures of the Jack of Diamonds avant-garde circle. Born in a Don Cossack village, he studied at Moscow School of Painting under Korovin and Serov before expulsion in 1909 for artistic free-thinking. His style reflected Cezanne and Matisse influences while drawing from folk art and expressionism. A Jack of Diamonds founder, Mashkov created striking still-lifes and theatrical portraits. In 2013 his Still Life with Fruit sold for $7.3 million.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
