Jacques-Raymond Brascassat

Jacques Raymond Brascassat (1804–1867) was a renowned French painter celebrated for landscapes featuring prominent animal subjects. Born in Bordeaux, he won the prix de Rome in 1825 with 'Chasse de Méléagre', enabling eight years of Italian study. Returning in 1835, he shifted focus from landscape to animal painting, becoming mid-century France's most important animal painter. His dramatic compositions merged biological accuracy with Romantic sensibility. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Jacques-Raymond Brascassat's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
