Jan Davidszoon de Heem

Jan Davidsz. de Heem (1606–1684) was a Dutch still life painter and one of the greatest Baroque painters of flowers and fruit. Nicknamed the King of Flower Painters, he worked in Utrecht and Antwerp. His elaborate compositions featured opulent dinner tables, floral arrangements and vanitas symbolism with meticulous detail and luminous colour.
