Jean-Baptiste Van Loo

Jean-Baptiste Van Loo (1684–1745) was a French Baroque painter known for striking and faithful aristocratic portraiture. Most successful London portraitist 1737–1742; 1745 Paris Salon member; trained under Benedetto Luti in Rome.
