John Haynes-Williams

John Haynes-Williams (1836–1908) was a British painter acclaimed for dramatic genre scenes and historical subjects rendered in meticulous realist detail. Specializing in Spanish-inspired compositions depicting rustic life and exotic costume, his work was widely reproduced as engravings and photogravures throughout his lifetime.
