Jonas Lie

Jonas Lie (1880–1940) was a Norwegian-born American Impressionist painter and longtime President of the National Academy of Design. He is best remembered for vigorous, colorful scenes of New York harbor, the Maine coast, and the Panama Canal construction, painted with bold, broken brushwork that combined Scandinavian light with American Impressionist energy. Master Canvas Art offers 2 hand-painted oil reproductions of Jonas Lie's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
