Jules-Adolphe Goupil

Jules-Adolphe Goupil (1839–1883) was a French painter known for genre scenes and portraits executed with precision and exactitude. Born in Paris, he studied under Ary Scheffer and began exhibiting at the Salon from 1857 at age 18. His later historical works, particularly French Revolution scenes, achieved wider international recognition and acclaim. He won multiple medals (1873, 1874, 1875, 1878) and was awarded the Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur. Master Canvas Art offers 2 hand-painted oil reproductions of Jules-Adolphe Goupil's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
