Knut Ekwall

Knut Alfred Ekwall (1843–1912) was a Swedish painter and illustrator best known for Realist genre works depicting women and children. Trained at the Royal Swedish Academy and under Ludwig Knaus in Berlin, he became a prolific illustrator for European publications including Die Gartenlaube.
