Konstantin Somov

Konstantin Andreyevich Somov (1869–1939) was a Russian painter and draughtsman, best known as co-founding member of Mir iskusstva (World of Art). Influenced by Pre-Raphaelites, Aubrey Beardsley, and Whistler, his admirers included Rococo masters like Watteau and Fragonard. His early work Lady in Blue exemplifies his graceful 18th-century portraiture style. After the Russian Revolution, he emigrated to Paris where he continued painting elegantly. Master Canvas Art offers 8 hand-painted oil reproductions of Konstantin Somov's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
