Leopold Schmutzler

Leopold Schmutzler (1864–1940) was a Bohemian-born German painter who specialized in portraits, semi-erotic female figures, and Rococo-style genre scenes. Studying at the academies in Vienna and Munich, Schmutzler became one of Munich's busiest portrait painters, receiving commissions from the Bavarian Royal Family. Master Canvas Art offers 7 hand-painted oil reproductions of Leopold Schmutzler's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
