Mary Jane Peale

Mary Jane Peale (1827–1902) was an American painter and the only daughter of Rubens and Eliza Burd Patterson Peale, granddaughter of Charles Willson Peale. She studied with her uncle Rembrandt and Thomas Sully at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, producing portraits and still lifes featuring flowers. Notably, she taught her father to paint after his retirement. A lifelong single woman, she traveled Europe (1860s) to study museum collections. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Mary Jane Peale's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
