Michael Dahl

Michael Dahl (1659–1743) was a Swedish portrait painter who spent most of his career in England as Kneller's principal rival. He painted aristocracy and royalty including Queen Anne and exiled Queen Christina of Sweden. Born in Stockholm, he studied from 1674 and settled permanently in London in 1689.
