Nicolae Grigorescu

Nicolae Grigorescu (1838–1907) was a Romanian painter and founder of modern Romanian art, trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and influenced by Barbizon School masters. Adopting plein-air Impressionist technique, he became closely associated with Renoir and Impressionist movements.
