Patrick Henry Bruce

Patrick Henry Bruce (1881–1936) was an American Cubism painter known for abstract still life compositions, boldly-hued Cubist forms. Descendant Patrick Henry; studied New York (Chase, Robert Henri), moved Paris 1903; member Matisse/Stein circles; met Delaunays 1912, developed large-scale abstract 'Compositions'; destroyed many works; suicide 1936.
