Pavel Fedotov

Pavel Andreyevich Fedotov (1815–1852) was an amateur Russian painter and founder of critical realism in Russian art, earning the sobriquet 'the Russian Hogarth.' Originally an Imperial Guards officer, he retired in 1844 to develop a fusion of critical realism and genre satire exposing social pretense. His major works—The Major's Proposal, Gamblers, Young Widow—reveal maturity before his death at thirty-seven. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Pavel Fedotov's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
