Richard Lorenz

Richard Lorenz (1858–1915) was a German-born American painter celebrated for vigorous depictions of the American West. Trained at the Weimar Saxon-Grand Ducal Art School, he emigrated to Milwaukee in 1886 to work on cycloramas with Friedrich Wilhelm Heine, then travelled extensively through the Western frontier. He became known for spirited scenes of cowboys, cavalry, and Plains Indians rendered with academic technique and reportorial directness. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Richard Lorenz's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
