Theodoric of Prague

Master Theodoric, known in Latin as Magister Theodoricus, was a Czech painter of the Gothic period active around 1359–1380. The first Bohemian painter whose name can be linked to a documented body of work, Theodoric served as the favourite court painter to Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor, and established himself as the chief representative of the International Gothic style. His 129 panel and wall paintings for the Chapel of the Holy Cross at Karlštejn Castle, featuring saints, prophets, and angels, define. Master Canvas Art offers 2 hand-painted oil reproductions of Theodoric of Prague's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
