W. Herbert Dunton

William Herbert 'Buck' Dunton (1878–1936) was an American artist and founding member of the Taos Society of Artists (1915). Working as a ranch hand in youth and trained at the Cowles Art School in Boston, Dunton moved to Taos in 1912 and distinguished himself by focusing on cowboy and animal subjects. He resigned from the Society in 1922 and arranged solo exhibitions across multiple states until his death. Master Canvas Art offers 2 hand-painted oil reproductions of W. Herbert Dunton's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
