Warren W. Sheppard

Warren Sheppard (1858–1937) was an American marine painter born in Greenwich, New Jersey, a seaport where his father commanded lumber ships. His childhood exposure to maritime life informed meticulous depictions of sailing vessels and coastal scenes. After studying under Hudson River School painter Mauritz Frederik de Haas and training at Cooper Union, Sheppard sketched the Mediterranean (1879) and spent four years in Europe (1888–1893). An accomplished yachtsman and navigator, he synthesized technical knowledge with landscape sensibility.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
