Artist

Bror Julius Olsson (B.J.O.) Nordfeldt

Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt (1878–1955), born in Tullstorp, Sweden, emigrated to America at 14 and became a defining painter of the American Southwest. Trained at the Art Institute of Chicago and Académie Julien, Paris, Nordfeldt adopted his mother's surname to avoid confusion with the maritime painter. Relocating to Santa Fe (1919–1937), he produced expressive seascapes and indigenous cultural studies, his works held in major American museums including the Metropolitan Museum, Hirshhorn, and Art Institute of Chicago.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
